Ballet Classes
Class Ages Description
Come dance with me (Mommy & me) 3-4 Playful approach to age appropriate skills that develops stamina and encourages creativity and self expression.
Fantasy Garden 4-5 Playful approach to age appropriate skills that develops stamina and encourages creativity and self expression.
Pre-Primary 5-7 Widens children's physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality. Each year builds on skills learned the year before.
Primary 6-8 Widens children's physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality. Each year builds on skills learned the year before.
Grades 1-4 8-13 Provides a strong foundation for future dance training that is appropriate and relevant to young children of today. Enjoyable, yet challenging, exercises that build on skills learned in prior years.
Upper Grades 5-7   Classes for the advanced student with a passion for the art, who may choose another career path. Challenging curriculum covering romantic style of ballet, free movement and character dances of Eastern Europe.
Grade 8 Award   Classes for the advanced student with a passion for the art, who may choose another career path. Challenging curriculum covering romantic style of ballet, free movement and character dances of Eastern Europe.
Vocational   Continuation of classical ballet from the RAD Graded Syllabus, introduction and development of pointe work for females. These levels are for the more serious student wishing a career in dance.
Non-Ballet Classes
Class Ages Description
Modern Dance 9+ Learn a wide range of techniques based on the elements of dance; time, space and energy. Classes are technique based and include floor work, center work, movement across the floor and improvisation.
Jazz 9+ Discover classic and contemporary styles of jazz dance in this upbeat class. Technique is taught through center work, across the floor combinations and movement phrase work.
Beginning Tap 6+ Students are introduced to basic tap technique while learning rhythmic skills, musicality and precision.
Beginning Hip Hop 6+ Students explore age-appropriate body isolations and syncopated rhythms in a fun and funky atmosphere.
Pilates Mat Work   Careful and specific training for safe, efficient use of muscles during movement. Work focuses on torso strength and firm support of limbs.
New York CityBallet Workout   This fun, low impact aerobic class uses ballet fundamentals to build a strong core, slim legs and fluid movement. You'll gain flexibility, abdominal strength and improved balance as you work out to the music of the NYC Ballet Repertoire.
